Wyatt Blair - Banana Cream Dream!

This one slipped right by me. I can't believe I am just hearing this for the first time this past week. Enormous thank yous go out to my pal Sean Lynch for introducing me to this album. Sean is a man that always seems to be 10 steps ahead of me in the endless search for killer bands.

Any ways, this thing has 10 tracks, 8 of which are superb power pop/glam tunes. The two others are a bit different, "Ladies Man" is a quirky short number with some great pick up lines in it. "Psychedelic Rock Band" reminds me of The Jesus & Mary Chain for some reason, and turns out brilliant. Check it out below on the bandcamp page. I hope you love it as much as I do.

An early Christmas gift from The Connection!

The Connection are at it again! Today they offered the world a little sneak peak from their forthcoming Christmas record called "A Christmas Gift For". As always, they never disappoint. Go ahead, give it a spin. Oh yeah, the whole record rules, too! But you have to wait for that.

My Top 10 Double Studio Albums!

In the last few weeks I have been listening to some of my double albums in my collection. While on this listening journey, I decided that it may be a neat idea to compile a list of my favorite double LP's of all time. Initially, I was going to include compilations and "Live" records, but have since decided not to, thinking maybe it would be easier to just select studio albums. It wasn't that easy. Maybe next time I will do the "Live" albums. So, here goes. And as always, my lists are NOT in any particular order.     ~Greg Mongroll

1. The Clash - "London Calling"
2. Husker Du - "Zen Arcade"
3. Minutemen - "Double Nickels On The Dime"
4. Beatles - "The White Album"
5. Rolling Stones - "Exile on Main Street"
6. XTC - "Oranges & Lemons"
7. The Mothers of Invention - "Freak Out"
8. Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band - "Trout Mask Replica"
9. The Cure - "Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me"
10. The Jimi Hendrix Experience - "Electric Ladyland"
